Steve graduated *Magna Cum Laude* from Wabash College in 1997 with a double major in Economics and French. After working in Paris and two years in corporate finance, he transitioned to a career in financial planning in 2000. He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2004 and is an active member of the Financial Planning Association.
Steve moved his practice to Wealthquest in 2007 as one of the founding owners and principals. He served as Director of Financial Planning from 2007 to 2011 and was promoted to Vice President in 2011. He held the role of Chief Compliance Officer from 2015 to 2020. With a keen eye for detail and a talent for helping clients coordinate complex financial lives.
Stephen has become a trusted advisor to many affluent families—often serving multiple generations, from parents to children and grandchildren.
Steve is an active community leader and member of Rotary Club of Cincinnati where he served on the Board of Directors from 2018 – 2024 and as Club President from 2022-23. Steve received the Jack Buerger Spirit of Rotary Award in 2024 in recognition of his achievements which exemplified the Rotary motto of “service above self”.
Steve has been recognized for his work as founder and Chair of Project Heart ReStart: AED Readiness for Law Enforcement. Since the project’s launch in 2023, Project Heart ReStart has raised over $800,000 and equipped over 450 police officers and sheriff deputies with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) around Greater Cincinnati and Northern KY. This on-going effort is bringing government, law enforcement, and community health leaders together to equip the first responders who are first on the scene of victims of sudden cardiac arrest.
Steve received the Cincy Serves award in 2025 through the Cincinnati Open in recognition of his role in Project Heart ReStart and the lives that the project has saved through the law enforcement equipment.
Steve lives in Cincinnati with his wife and their two sons and a daughter. Outside of work, Steve enjoys tending to his fruit trees, singing in a barbershop quartet, and serving the community as the President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Cincinnati Foundation for 2025-2026.
